Have you ever been sick before? Ever been really sick while running your own business?
If you are your staff, how do you make it work?
Have you ever had one of those days where you just can’t get out of bed, or at least, can’t get any work done because you’re sick?
What do you do? Do you ask for an extension on that looming deadline? Do you tell your clients? Or, do you just tough it out?
I just had a round of the stomach flu fly through the family, including myself. And, I was wondering what’s the best thing to do.
So, please share your thoughts? (This question applies to everyone.)

My husband plows through it. He drives himself to the point where he is about to collapse to get things done, and then he sleeps for about 20 hours to recover on a Saturday. It’s very unhealthy… but he has his own business and if he doesn’t do it.. who will?

I’m useless when I’m sick. I try my best to hide from society until I feel better!

My father has a recliner in a storage room. He works until he feels tool bad, sleeps for like 30 minutes, then gets up and works some more. He works no matter what. I had to leave work once to go get him and force him to the hospital because he was so sick. Turns out he had pnuemonia and had to spend a few days in the hospital and could have died.
Then again, he is one of the top rated businesses in the area. So, his insanity does pay off.
